Artist Alley A Unique Artist Alley ExperienceFirst of all, Artist Alley will be free for all artists!
And second, we want our artists to enjoy Oomf Con as much as they can, and not just be there to sell merch. Instead of sitting at a table all day, artists will be able to experience the con just like any other attendee for most of the day. In place of the tables that a normal artist alley has, Oomf Con’s artist alley will consist of posters displaying the artist’s catalogs and stock.
Artists can hang out by their posters to talk to possible customers like they would at a table, or they can come around the artist alley once in a while to check if anyone has placed any “orders.” Stock will be locked up in an artists’ only room so that the artists can freely walk around the convention, but it is also easily available for when they fulfill orders.
Why is Oomf Con’s Artist Alley different?
We know your time is limited and that time is money. Artists sit for hours and days behind a table at conventions with the expectation of making a profit, but at this con, well…we can’t guarantee you’ll be getting as much business as you would’ve at Galaxycon. But we also know that sometimes, artists just want to have a good time! You can miss a lot of fun while you’re sitting behind that table, and that’s what we want Oomf Con to be. Something fun where the artist alley and the profits are only a bonus. Remember, it’s completely free!
What do you need to do to be a part of the Oomf Con Artist Alley?
There is only 1 requirement: A poster!
